We collect only the information we need to understand your energy needs, recommend the right solar system and look after you before and after installation. Information reaches us in three ways.

• Information you give us. Details you enter in the free site inspection form, the savings calculator, the AI Solar Consultant chat, or share on a call, email or WhatsApp.
• Information collected automatically. Basic technical data such as browser type, device type, screen size, pages viewed and approximate region, generated when you use our website.
• Information from site visits. Roof, meter and shading details our engineers record when you book a free inspection.

Personal data is any information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. Depending on how you deal with us, this may include:

• Identity: your full name.
• Property details: property type, ownership status, city, address and roof type.
• Energy and project details: monthly electricity bill, budget, installation timeline and any requirements you describe.
• Documents, at a later stage: copy of an electricity bill, ownership proof, ID and bank details needed for discom approval and subsidy. We collect these only if you decide to proceed, and only for that purpose.
• Communication records: messages, call notes and emails exchanged with our team.

When you give us a phone number, email address or WhatsApp number, we use it to answer your request and to keep you informed about your project.

• Our team calls or messages you, normally within 24 hours, to fix your free site inspection.
• We send project updates on WhatsApp only if you leave that option ticked. You can opt out at any time by unticking it or telling us.
• Customers may receive service reminders and annual maintenance notices.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your contact details. Promotional messages are kept to a minimum and you can ask us to stop at any time.

Cookies and similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, are small pieces of data kept on your device to help a website work better.

• Essential and preference storage. Used to remember choices you make, for example the day or night view of the page. This stays on your device.
• Third-party requests. Our fonts are delivered by Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
• No advertising cookies. At the time of writing we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add analytics tools, we will update this section.

We work with trusted partners to deliver our service. They receive only the data needed for their role and are expected to protect it.

• Messaging: when you submit the inspection form or tap a WhatsApp button, WhatsApp opens with a pre-filled message. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that conversation.
• Fonts and hosting: Google Fonts and our website hosting provider.
• Government and utility bodies: your electricity distribution company and the national PM Surya Ghar portal, when you ask us to file net-metering and subsidy applications.
• Installation and service partners who help us carry out your project.
• Authorities and advisers where we are required to share information by law.

We follow reasonable security practices in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for our website.
• Access to your information is limited to team members who need it for their work.
• Documents collected for subsidy are kept only as long as required and shared only with the relevant authority.
• Staff and service partners are bound by confidentiality obligations.

We use your data only for purposes connected to your solar project and our legal duties:

• Responding to enquiries and scheduling your free site inspection.
• Sizing your system and preparing estimates and proposals.
• Preparing and tracking discom, net-metering and subsidy applications.
• Installing, commissioning, servicing and supporting your system.
• Sending the updates you have agreed to receive.
• Improving our website, calculator and customer experience, using aggregated data where possible.
• Meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations and preventing fraud.

Under applicable Indian data protection law, you have the following rights over your personal data:

• Access: ask for a summary of the personal data we hold and who it has been shared with.
• Correction: have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or updated.
• Erasure: ask us to delete data that is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.
• Withdraw consent: withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing done before.
• Grievance redressal: raise a complaint with us and receive a response.
• Nominate: name another person to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated.

The savings calculator, live estimate, AI Solar Consultant and visual previews on this website give indicative figures only. They are not a quotation, offer or guarantee.

• Estimates assume about 4 units of generation per kW per day, current average tariffs and 3% yearly tariff growth.
• Actual results depend on your roof, shading, orientation, electricity tariff, discom rules, weather and how you use power.
• Subsidy amounts, such as up to ₹78,000 under PM Surya Ghar for homes, follow current MNRE guidelines, depend on eligibility and may change. The subsidy is paid by the government, not by us.
• Panel counts, roof layouts and illustrations are representative. Your final design is set after the free site inspection.
• Only a written proposal issued by us after a site inspection forms the basis of any offer.

• You may view the site and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.

To help us design and deliver your system safely and on time, we ask you to:

• Give accurate and complete information, including your electricity bill, address and property details.
• Confirm that you own the property or have written permission from the owner or society to install solar.
• Provide safe access to the roof, meter and electrical panel for inspection, installation and service.
• Tell us about known structural issues, roof leaks, planned repairs or shading before installation.
• Keep documents needed for discom approval and subsidy ready and respond to requests promptly.
• Do not tamper with the system, inverter or net meter, and follow the maintenance guidance we provide.

The website and its estimates are provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website or its estimates.
• We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by events beyond our control, such as extreme weather, grid outages, supply chain disruption, or changes in government policy or tariffs.
• For products and services we supply, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for that specific product or service.
• Equipment warranties are those stated in your written proposal and the manufacturers' warranty documents.

Prices, payment schedule and accepted payment modes are set out in the written proposal or agreement we issue after your site inspection.

• Proposals are valid for the period stated in them. Prices may change after that.
• Payments are normally linked to project milestones, such as order confirmation, material delivery and commissioning.
• Applicable taxes, including GST, are shown in the proposal.
• Please pay only to the company bank accounts or UPI IDs named in our proposal and collect an official receipt. Do not pay cash to individuals without a receipt.
• The government subsidy is credited by the authorities directly to your bank account after commissioning and verification. We help with the paperwork but cannot guarantee approval or timing.
• Delayed payments may delay installation or service.

You can cancel or reschedule a free site inspection at any time by telling us. There is no charge. For a confirmed order, the following applies unless your written agreement says otherwise:

• Before materials are ordered or approvals are filed: your advance is refunded after deducting costs we have already incurred, such as survey or application fees.
• After materials are ordered or dispatched: charges apply for non-returnable materials and work already done.
• After commissioning: the order cannot be cancelled. Warranty and service terms apply.
• If we cancel because your site is unsuitable, we refund your advance in full.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will first try to resolve any dispute through discussion in good faith. If that fails, the courts at Sant Kabir Nagar, Uttar Pradesh will have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
